Welcome to The Melody House . We are pleased to welcome you and look forward to a long fun-filled relationship. Lessons include traditional piano lessons as well as interactive lessons using a midi and computer. Songwriting will be used to learn theory and explore creativity.
Ms. Carroll McCarthy is the director and piano teacher for The Melody House . She has been teaching for 38 years and has run studios in Washington DC, New York and Texas. She studied at the Alexandria School of Music, The Princeton School of Music, Royal Academy of Music, Queen's College, UTA, Berklee College of Music and privately with Tamara Dmitrieff. Additionally she has preformed in London, Texas, and Washington. Other studies include psychology and dance at UTA, Old Dominion, GMU, and VA Tech.
